Can't I just fix my water damage? 

Some homeowners call us inquiring if they can just mitigate their own water damage using their own fans and dehumidifiers.  The answer.....NO! You probably will not get the affected area dry to the level that needs to be to prevent mold growth or create secondary damage to the water mitigation process.  You can actually make your home worse by trying to mitigate the affected area yourself.  

Equipment:

• SERVPRO uses commercial air movers which are very different from home use fans
• SERVPRO uses commercial dehumidifers which are different from home dehumidifiers
• There is a science and reasoning to where the technicians place fans and dehumidifers to properly dry the affected areas of your home.
